A smart ring is coming out that will replace your wallet, keys and cards!!

The smart ring is probably the next big breakthrough in technology. In addition, the good news is that the first serious sage ring will come out on the market this year and it's already possible to book it.

What exactly is this ring? It's called Token and has three extremely elegant design versions available. Classical stainless steel, costing about 230 euros, black rhodium (280 euros) and 14k pink gold (280 euros).

The ring can be connected to a variety of payment services, such as Android Pay or Apple Pay. It can also add Visa or Mastercard credit card information and stores and contact the ring with a non-contact terminal and make a payment.

In Latvia, non-contact payments can only be made in some places in major cities, small towns and less populated regions, not to mention.

To sign up for a payment card, you need a smartphone application.

To add your card, you'll need to pair the ring with the Token app, which is available for iOS, Android, Windows 10, and OS X.

The application can be followed up. For example, if a smart door lock (which can be purchased with a ring) is set to the home, the door can be unlocked and locked. Another addition is the car lock that can be obtained by sending your car keys and, in return, receiving a special key.


Within the app, you can also add your passwords, set up your smart lock, activate your access card for work, add your transit pass, and enable the ring to work with your car.

Same goes for your front door. When you hold your ring up to the pad, it will unlock your door - it's your way out, do the same thing to lock it. Token made its own smart lock, which costs $ 100 to pair with your ring.

The new key is placed on the car's OBD2 port. When done, it is necessary to push the ring twice to the door to unlock the car. Both the door lock and the car key cost a little less than 100 euros. True, when purchasing both, one of the devices automatically gets a 50% discount.

You can also store information from different access cards in the ring, for example, to get into your office. Vehicle ticket information may also be saved, but for the sake of justice, it should be said that Riga Traffic will never implement such a function.

The most important question is how to protect this small sized device from the thieves? Quite simply. The ring has a fingerprint scanner that recognizes its owner and only then activates. If it is worn by any other person, the ring will not work.

Token battery life is about two weeks, and it can go up to 50 meters deep in the swimming pool. So it will not have to be pulled out by going to the shower. It should be noted that the ring will be sold in different parts of the world in December. It is unlikely that for me in Latvia will be among these countries, but in any case, it will most likely be ordered online for you guys!
