Om : The Mind Your Own Kind Of Fellow

I decided to create a character base from one of the webcomics I posted recently. The character is a fly hovering over a bowl of ramen. He was with two other flies and all of them were holding their brightly colored spoons and forks. I thought they're cute and I could develop a new character.

On the webcomic the flies dialogue is "on nom nom" to hint they want to eat the ramen and couldn't wait to dig in. This new character got its name from that dialogue and so he will be called -- Om.

The look. I made his eyes stand out bulging on the sides of his head. A moustache would be an interesting detail. I want to give him some stripes to make him look insect-like and so the chalk striped trousers came about. The neon green shirt is for easy identification, his gang can spot him a mile away. He also has flaps of wings behind him.

Om is a lazy little fly and the one thing that can make him move about is food. He is not choosy, he eats just about anything. He loves it when his gang joins him for a hunt. Om is quite a funny and loud character. He follows his gut feel all the time. He hates following the rules as they are too restrictive for him. He minds his own business and doesn't appreciate being told. Om knows what he wants and fights for what he believes in. He may be in gang of flies but surely doesn't follow the herd.
