Immigrants are NOT a threat to E.U.

Hello steemians ! Today we will talk about migration. What is immigration? By the term immigration we mean the permanent or temporary change of the place of estamblishment of a person or a social group.

Immigration Reasons

As it is proven, there are many reasons for causing people leave their homes and migrate to the other countries. The main reasons for immigration, are economic reasons and job search. Many people also emigrate to study. Other reasons, that lead people to immigration, are war and political, religious and national situations. Migration often come true after violence and percecution.

The benefits of immigration

The benefits of immigration are economic and social. Immigrants have apparently supported the economies of developed countries such as United States, Australia, Canada etc.. Without immigrants these countries would not have developed, as they had shown in previous years, and this is because immigrants are flexible and inexpensive work-force. According to the OECD and the E.U., Europe is getting older faster than any other Continent and needs immigrants.

What will happen if there is no immigration over the next 20 years?

If for 20 years migratory flows stopped, the E.U. will lose 11%, ie 33 million people of working age, the number of people over the age of 65 will increase and the propotion of young workers aged 20-30, will decrease by 25%, while of individuals aged 60-70, will increase by 29%.
