Talking little about the fat we consume
Surely you've heard about fats, and especially the "bad" ones, a fame that they have unwittingly earned. But are they really that bad, and unhealthy for our body?
Importance of Fat in our diet
Despite this, the evidence demonstrates the important role that fat plays in any healthy diet, providing a source of energy, as well as essential fatty acids. However, there are different types of fats present in our food, often considered as "good" fats and "bad" fats, relating the latter with the increase in LDL cholesterol and risk of coronary problems.
Why we have high cholesterol?
The increase in cholesterol, has two fronts: congenital factor (also called family cholesterol) and lifestyle (diet + exercise also called non-family cholesterol).
Currently, it is valued that certain saturated fatty acids may not have the "fault" at the end of the whole. For people who do not practice sports, who simply perform "sedentary lifestyle", the general recommendations about fats should be supervised, but for the sports public, eating this type of fat can mean an increase, even of their faculties.
What Fats should we avoid at all costs?
The worst fat is, without a doubt, Trans Fat, as it is a byproduct of a process called hydrogenation used in the industry to convert healthy oils into solids, allowing their conservation properties to increase drastically.
