Great Tibetan Temple | 5% to SL- Charity

Hello Steemians,

As a follower of Buddhist, I had a dream to visit Tibet and explore the Tibetan culture, unfortunately, I couldn’t visit Tibet thus far, but I had a chance to Tibetan temple called as “Golden Temple” which is located in Coorg district in Karnataka. Which is home to almost 5000 Tibet monks. Mahayana Buddhism is slightly different from the Theravada. Mahayana Buddhism is speeded in countries like Japan, Laos, Nepal, etc. India and Sri Lanka is the hotspot of Theravada Buddhism.

Entrance

The basic concept of Buddhism is the same in both types but with slight regional differences, we can observe. Monks here in this temple is used to be free they are playing, singing and they have some freedom comparatively. The greatest and famous monk Dalai Lama is the leader or highest person in this Tibetan culture and they worship him the same way as they worship Lord Buddha.

The first impression is the same as I feel like I entered into the temple in Sri Lanka. Temple is very clean and the infrastructure is very good. Not even a piece of toffee cover inside to roads of temples very clean. This golden temple is a kind of institution of the Tibet monks it has an accommodation facility for a lot of people lot of hostel-type buildings I have seen on the other side of the temple.
The most interesting thing about ZEN gardens, this temple maintains a Zen garden on one side of the temple it was very beautiful and peaceful.

The main building has three golden color statues I think that’s why they called this temple a golden temple. I stayed some time there fell same as village temple but at the time some crowd was there. At the entrance little shops were, little 20-50 rupee (0.5 steem) things are available there important thing is those shopkeepers are also monks.

They are selling those handmade things. I got some neckless to remember this visit. The final conclusion doesn’t matter the temple is Theravada or Mahayana Temple is a temple and place where heal our souls.
