Satisfaction When Life Goals Workout!
I usually don't get overly excited about things, but this last month has been super exciting.
8 months ago, when I found out my daughter was gonna be coming into this world. I set out on 3 goals, not just your regular goals, but hard life goals.
Marry my soon to be wife.
Buy a house, for my daughter to grow up in.
Go back and graduate college.
My brother and I only grew up knowing my mother, we never met my dad. Then the minute I discovered my fiance Nikki was pregnant I sat down with an old wrestling coach of mine and we had a long discussion. Where he told me to be the Dad I Never Had....the dream dad. The dad you always wish was there, the dad that will never put a barrier in front of his kids.
So in 9 months I had to prove that I can do this. I managed to meet up with another old coach from a school near mine, he offered to sell me his junk house if I fix it up. Then Nikki and I moved out of our Party Apartment...into this house and spent every night after work cleaning, sanding, painting, and re-building.
I would wake up at 7 am and work on homework, and write essays every morning just so I could still be able to work on the house when I got off work at 6. I honestly felt like I was gonna fall apart, but I kept the same damn cheesy smile on, because Nikki is creating life inside her as we speak.
I'm not gonna get to into my story over the last 9 months, but I will say, it is a great feeling when after all the studying, painting, and planning....a big green check mark shows up on all your finals:)
I am so blessed to get to go through all these experiences, and I am beyond grateful for everything in my life.
