Sognsvann lake
Summer is here and the weather is perfect for touring and exploring. It is hard to believe that such a beautiful place like Sognsvann lake is just 15 minutes from the center of Oslo, using local transport. A lot of paths branch out from the lake area to the forest and other small lakes. A central path on the east side leads to a bigger lake called Maridalsvannet which is the city's drinking water reservoir.
It can can get a bit crowded in the weekends, but there is ample place if one moves towards the north part of the lake, away from the main area.
Bring a hammock for total relaxation!
