Are Spinaches a Good Source of Iron?
If Popeye made the iron only from spinach, his legendary arm would not be so strong and resistant! :-)
Although they are very rich in iron, spinach - like all vegetables - contains anti-nutrients that reduce the absorption of this precious mineral, which is also found in an unfavorable chemical state.
In fact, the human intestine can absorb only between 2 and 10% of the iron contained in plants (trivalent iron), while the one contained in products of animal origin (bivalent iron) is absorbed between 10 and 35%. If you prefer a vegetarian diet you can still benefit from iron but there are a few things to do: like consume more vitamin C rich fruit and vegetable during the same meal, in order to increase iron absorption but the best advice is to be in touch with your trusted dietician .
So for example the splash of lemon on spinach can slightly increase the bioavailability of the iron contained in them, improving their intestinal absorption.
Enjoy your meal :-)

I guess i will turn a vegie...
... I have some advices for it if you will be looking for maybe I write an article soon. It's a risky process and it can bring so much imbalance for your body if done improperly.
Then i would be looking forward to that post...would like to more about it.
Amazing information you shared. It will help to consume more vitamin c.
