Gypsy Discussions – Gold and Silver vs. Crypto

Hi Friends,

when I talk with my friends about different topics its always interesting to listen to their point of view and rethink the ideas I have about our world. So I thought I want to transport this also to this plattform..

HERE WE GO

I met a swiss friend yesterday, who told me following:

“Physical gold and silver ( not gold / silver paper promises !) are the only assets that have existed over 4000 years and the purchasing power remains unchanged.
The official national currencies are built on trust and will be offset by the expansive monetary policy of central banks. Since 1914, CHF has lost 90% of its purchasing power. The crypto's are just some digital numbers on a hard disk and do not provide a proper protection in case of crisis. In my opinion, they are just speculative goods and compete with the currencies until they are banned ...”

For me I do agree to his pointing of stable gold and silver, but I always think build your strategy on old answers to new questions ( what seems to be trendy now, ie look politics..LOL ) is NEVER a good strategy. I do agree to his second statement though, but for me he have no clue about the background of crypto currencies  !

What do you think about Gold and Silver vs. Crypto ??
