McDonalds let me down

Called into McDonalds Drive Through this morning and ordered a Sausage and Egg McMuffin meal with an extra hash brown and an orange juice.

Speaker: "I'm sorry, we don't have any hash browns this morning. There's a problem with the machine
Me: "OK, I'll have a Double Sausage McMuffin and an orange juice then please."
Speaker: "That will be £4.18 please drive to the 1st window."

As I drove round I thought "£4.18 seems a little expensive?"

Me: "Excuse me, £4.18 seems a little expensive for a Sausage and Egg McMuffin and an orange juice? How much is the McMuffin?"
Assistant: "Umm? Err? yes it does. How about I do a fruit bowl with that? as a meal it will be cheaper."
Me: "OK."
Assistant: "That'll be £4.29"

There was by now a rather large queue behind me so it wasn't till I started to move I thought "Hang on, £4.29? How's that cheaper?" having spent some time waiting I decided to 'suck it up' as they say, get my food and carry on to my office. As I pulled up to the 2nd window.

2nd Assistant: "Hi there, I'm sorry about this but we've run out of fruit bowls.
Me: "Seriuosly?Can I have a word with the manager please?"

A few moments later

Manager: "Hello there."
Me: "Hi, can you tell me how much a Double Sausage and Egg McMuffin is please?"
Manager: "£2.99"
Me: "And an orange juice?"
Manager: "£1.29"
Me: "Hmm? £4.28 The thing is, I questioned the price of £4.18 which I thought was a bit expensive. I was told if I had a fruit bowl it would be cheaper however £4.29 is not cheaper and now after all that I'm told you don't have the fruit bowl either!"
Manager: "I'm sorry about that, would you like your money back?"
Me: "I want my food to be honest."
Manager: "I'll refund the price of the fruit bowl."

I should hope so seeing as I'm not having it!
