THE LOST SHEEP

Hello lovely steemians!
Its been a while now ever since i posted on my blog. Ever heard of the "THE LOST SHEEP? Well I'm about to tell you about it, but grab a bible, its about to get churchy.

The decision a man makes when he fall shot determines his life here on earth and in eternity.

One of the greatest heart desires of God and indeed the purpose if Christ's mission into the word is to seek the lost: sinners and backsliders. No winder there is always hoy in heaven over one sinner of backslider that repents.

The lost sheep is the person who had once accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour but later turned away his heart from Him. In his backslidden position, he might still be coming regularly to the fellowship of believers or had gone away totally.

The state of the backslider is manifested in his turning away from righteousness into sin, forsaking his covenant with God. Lukewarmness in christian faith, murmuring against God, turning into idolatry and embracing the world that he had once forsaken. God has no delight in the backslider remaining in his backslidden state,therefore He brings corrective judgement upon him in order to make him repent.

All who are standing in the faith by the grace of God have a responsibility to endeavour to bring back those guilty of backsliding. "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest thou also be tempted" (Gal 6:1). To disobey this instruction of the Lord is a mark in our hearts and the Lord warns: "Again, when a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness and commit iniquity and i lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die: because thou has nit given him warning, he shall die in his sin and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered but his blood will i require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned, also thou has delivered thy soul".

Ezekiel 3:20,21. It is imperative for us to begin TODAY to earnestly plead with and pray for backsliders to return to God
