HOW TO JOIN STEEMIT

I have here some vital information that i think would be of help to those finding it difficult to explain to a new prospect what Steemit is all about and to make them join the platform because you have been able to explain it well to them after gone through my little illustration.

First of all we need to know what STEEMIT is all about:

WHAT IS STEEMIT?

Steemit is a social media platform where everyone get paid for creating and curating content. It leverages a robust digital system (Steem) for digital reward.

Steem is also an open platform meant to host and welcome any legal content. Users can post anything they want, whether it be phrases, quotes, blogs, anecdotes, photos, videos, memes, songs, and more. Be creative and you will have every cause to smile when others are finding it difficult, yours will be easier because you are been creative!

WHY STEEMIT?

I prefer steemit to most popular social media platform because, here on steemit you get paid by the above definition I made but in other platforms, they derive you of these benefits. Steemit believes that the users of the platform should receive the benefits and rewards for their attention and the contributions they make to the platform.

Now after been cleared on the definition of STEEMIT and the benefits attached to it , i will move further to show you how you can become a member and start benefiting from the platform like others.

Make sure you use gmail
A Functional phone number
And chrome as browser

You can use other browser such as safari, phx etc but I prefer you to use chrome browser to avoid been disappointed..... go to the site and Chose a preferred username of your choice to register.

After you put in your preferred username, it will direct you to another page where you'll put your phone number and email. Make sure you use an email that's active because details of your approved account and password would be sent to your email. Once u fill the required information, a code will be sent to u instantly, put the code in the space created and click submit, and also a mail would be sent to you for verification. Make sure to click on the link in your mail else your registration would be invalid.

While waiting for your account to be approved, i would advice you go through the FAQ and learn more about the platform so that you can have a proper knowledgr of the community you are about to join. Some accounts are approved faster than others. Most accounts are approved within 24 hours. Some may take a week or more to review.

If your account has not been approved after more than a week, you can ask for help in the #help channel on steemit.chat.
