Can't afford take-out food anymore? Worried that it may bring the virus to your dome of safety? Don't like interacting with the delivery guy or not a fan of real-life human interaction? If you are isolated and about to lose your mind, don't worry, I prepared an easy quarantine recipe for the miserable ones out there. Because quarantine life shouldn't be that bad. The best thing about it is that it actually gives you more time to eat. No time to prepare something grand because all you want to do is eat eat eat? Then read more.

If you fancy something exotic, then maybe you should try this recipe. For a change, you know. Maybe this is the best time to open your mind to something unfamiliar. It would be best to try first a legit Peruvian Tallarin Saltado just so you don't turn a very easy recipe into a disaster. Like too salty or burned meat.

I kinda miss my life and travels to Peru so I decided to cook something Peruvian. What I like about this dish is that it is so flavorful and tasty. Without further ado, here's the recipe:

The amount of ingredients depends on how much you want to eat. But I suppose you are crazy and alone, so please don't cook too much to avoid waste and feeling bad for hungry people.

Ingredients:

Beef tenderloin cut into strips
Tomatoes cut in wedges
Onions cut in wedges
Organic soy sauce (with less sodium if you prefer)
Wine vinegar or lemon extract
Pasta
Cilantro
Crushed pepper flakes
Ground pepper

Directions:

  1. Marinate the beef tenderloin in half soy sauce and wine vinegar/lemon extract mixture for at least 30 minutes. Add ground pepper if you like. You can also marinate it overnight and put it in the refrigerator.

  2. Sauté marinated beef on high. Set aside the soy sauce mixture. Set aside the beef.

  3. Sauté onions and tomatoes very briefly. Don't overcook it. (I understand most people out there don't like their onions uncooked so it is up to you)

  4. Drizzle in the soy sauce mixture. Add the sauteed beef.

  5. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything. Add crushed pepper flakes and ground pepper to taste.

  6. Serve topped with cilantro.
