Frozen Fog = Hoarfrost

Sometimes a fog settles in the night and freezes onto all the branches of everything. I took this picture on a walk, with my phone. I haven't posted in a while, its been an odd week, walking around in a bit of a mental fog. I figure I can at least post to Steepshot and use it a bit like a journal till I get up the energy to make a creative post. I am planning some fun ones but my life got so busy when I got back from my trip. My job was still full time last week, and it took over most of my mental energy each day. I am also trying to start a private practice/consulting business and there is all this administrative and networking stuff I need to do. When this weekend came I was pretty tired!

Case in point: I was invited to read in an open mic poetry reading on Friday. I took a nap after work, but overslept! So my friend who runs the open mic texted me like "hey are you coming?" five minutes before the reading. I told her there was no way i could make it and she urged me to come anyway. I got there, and got up to read second to last, and my poems were in google docs, which is where I always keep them, and it always works, but not on Friday! :) ARrrrrgggghhhh! I was up on the stage and only one poem worked so while i fussed around with the ipad i joked around with the audience, and then I just had to give up! Thankfully it was a very comfortable and relaxed crowd. They didn't mind. I felt good being there, so I was glad I showed up.

Back to the fog: I have been in kind of a foggy state, but I am looking forward to the moment it crystalizes. Because I know it will. I just have to be patient. Hope you all are well.
