Authentic Indonesian Solonese Gado-gado

Hello, friends!
Today i would like one of my foodie experience.

The restaurant where we ate last night was Dapur Solo which was located on 2nd floor, FX Sudirman - South Jakarta. Dapur means kitchen and Solo is a name of the city in Central Java, which is also our President's hometown.

The restaurant was quite large and it was divided into two areas.
Inside, a bit small

And outside, it was large enough.

So we chose to sit outside.

Like its' name, they provided Indonesian Solo's authentic food.

What we chose for last night dinner

Gado-gado

It was authentic Indonesian salad with the peanut paste. It contained many boiled vegetables, such as spinach, cabbage, long green bean, beansprouts, and the lettuce and cucumber (of course not boiled). They also served it with the shrimp chips and belinjo chips.

The flavor of the gado-gado was sweet and spicy. I asked for the medium level for the spiciness, it was a bit too spicy for me but so far so good. The vegetables were so fresh. The chips were also taste so good. It was crunchy and fresh. The gado-gado was great.

The 2nd menu we chose was selat solo, but it was not a vegetarian menu. Actually it was a mixed dish between Deutsch and Indonesian dish. It was beef cooked in tasty broth then served with some vegetables and potatoes.

The flavor was tasty, savory and a bit sweet. The beef was fresh and delicious, and it also easy to swallow. Great dish!
