Legendary Chinese Food at Akoen
Hello, friends!
My weekly choice this time is an old or we could say legendary chinese restaurant in Jakarta, Akoen. The old branch is located in Prof. Sutono Street, South Jakarta.

The place was not big, but always crowded during the lunch time or dinner time. There were air conditioned dining area and also outdoor area.

It was not crowded when we arrived at 5 pm.
Inside, when we arrived.
And then, it was taken when we were eating the dinner.
I couldn’t say that it was too clean and neat, it was just ordinary. The air conditioner were almost not functioned at all so I thought it made me felt a bit uncomfortable yesterday.
The menus
What we ordered were
Fried Noodle
Tasty and savory, stirred with vegetables, meatballs and chicken.
Fried Dumpling with stirred vegetables and mushroom
The fried dumpling tasted good, tasty, savory and soft but also crunchy. Perfect.
Capcay (Many vegetables stirred with fishballs and also chicken)
It was tasty and yummy. The vegetables were crunchy.
Fuyunghai
The fuyunghai tasted sweet, sour and savory. But i think it wasn’t to crunchy.
Butter Fried Chicken
It tasted good, savory and tasty. The chicken also felt soft and easy to swallow.
The dishes came not too fast but it was ok. The butter fried chicken came a bit late. I thought the most delicious dish yesterday was the fried noodle, fried dumpling and also butter fried chicken. The butter fried chicken came the last one, so I took a picture of my plate before it came.

Overall the dinner was nice, because all the food tasted good. But last night’s dinner was a choice that me and friends did so it was not only my choice. I, myself prefer the other branch of this restaurant which more modern and cosy, it is in Suryo Street – South Jakarta.

I just love Jakarta and enjoy Indonesian food ! Your review reminded me of the delicacies there and made me crave for some Indonesian food =) ... i should really make another trip there. hmmm its been awhile.

The food looks wonderful. I love to have crunchy veggies too. If they are very soft, it is not my favorite thing :)
