Rain - Excerpt from my Mind (#1)
Clouds were forming outside faster than the tears falling from his eyes. He tried to stop them from falling, but still they fell.
Run.
Don't look back. Never look back and just run away from here...
He spent too much time slumped on his chair staring at the monitor of his laptop. If felt like it's swallowing him, his thoughts, he thought. He imagined how life would be if he took a different path. If he made different choices. It does, pass by his mind from time to time; but he never entertains it. He said. Quite a few times, he said to himself that he's doing good, his life is great because he's contented with what he has: a loving wife, their little boy, a complete family. That would be enough. Much better than most have. It could even be the best thing in this world.
He continued watching the series that has been playing on his laptop all morning. "Don't look back. Never look back and just run away from here...", a dad said to his child. It was set in New York. Another zombie apocalypse movie. What's new? Well, he hasn't finished all episodes yet so it would be inappropriate to give a statement now.
Run?..
Should he run away and save himself; just listen to what his father commanded? He's not sure. He's too young to make a decision for himself.
At 3 years old, he still can't say words as a whole, he often stutters. All he can feel now is confusion. "Why does Daddy want me to go?". Who are the people around them? Surrounding them. Little by little, closing the gap towards escape... He wrapped his little arms around his Dad. Little did he know, it was for the last time.
The rain kept falling...

Thank you. I don't think it's a series though. There's no story haha. It's just one scene.
A pretty good scene and if you keep writing....it turns into a story! ;)
