Hello steemians, it's your man @desmoniac with another banging episode of "BE ENLIGHTENED". The aim of this series is to bring to lime light, intricate issues that cuts across life, anything at all ranging from health to love to relationships to gadgets and to a whole lot of others and just as the name implies, you will be shocked on what you could get enlightened on someday.

However,for today, we are going to be looking at;

A CORE REASON FOR BROKEN HOMES

¶¶ ... Until fathers begin to speak with their male children and mothers, their female children, marriages will continue to suffer.

As a child, you don't get the concept of erection, it just happens and you rock it around without shame, sometimes without clothes even.
As you grow older, your body begins to understand the trigger and it occurs maybe when there is a sex scene on TV.
This is the state many boys get to at secondary school which is when it all changes. Because the school has older boys, you suddenly become aware of so many things including yourself.

Suddenly, the boy who was normally forced to stay longer in the bathroom now becomes that who is begged to get out after 40 minutes. He comes out eventually though, with magazines but nobody really pays attention because he's a boy.
Hair growing all over the place and it's exciting but nobody cares because he's just a boy.

He is approaching girls now because others are doing it yet you'd struggle to find one of his peers who was taught about this stage with the girls. Hey, he'd learn, he's a boy.

JSS3 - SS3, The early bloomers have already visited brothels from boarding school hostels and had sex with a few early blooming females too, but nobody cares, nobody even knows because he's a boy.

Tertiary institution and it literally becomes a sin to finish without having had sex. It is going to happen for those who want it, we know this but we don't care, let the young man be.

NYSC: Right from camp, it's sex and booking for sex when camp is over. The year passes quickly and we just let it slide, he's a man.

Now, Mr. Boy is a husband who went in without once being called by a father or guardian on how to treat a lady, sex and marriage, yet we expect it to magically happen. It will happen, after all, he is not the first person to marry, right?

We are saying the above about someone who chose a secular lifestyle and was exposed early, now imagine how much worse it must be for one who lived the religious life.

At this point, the ladies are applauding. These ladies, many of whom are mothers and would be mothers, complaining about how they are being treated as wives yet do nothing to ensure boys are taught.

Yes, teach the girls about menstruation and puberty and pregnancy and marriage but leave the boys who they'd be married to without any knowledge and expect magic to happen, after all we pray for them and they are boys.

Well, if you leave a boy or a girl untaught.... the possibilities are limitless.. ¶¶
