Enhancing Spirituality and Wellness
The idea of “Emotional well-being” in relation to a person’s health has often been emphasized and may mean different thing to different people. A person’s emotional well-being can be affected by several components, including family, friends, finances, and occupation. More so, a person’s spirituality may be an important factor in maintaining both emotional and physical health.

The traditional view of “Spirituality” involves a person’s religious or spiritual beliefs. Such beliefs can be very important in maintaining wellness. In recent years, churches and synagogues have experienced an increase in attendance, reflecting an upsurge in spiritual awareness.
Money, education, success might not have provided meaning to people’s lives, so some are turning to religion to fill the void.
Congregation with people who have similar beliefs and values provides an outlet for sharing spiritual experiences and can make religion more meaningful.
This may be the reason many modern worshippers (especially those who are younger) tend to be very selective about where they attend, however. Often, people will try out several places of worship before settling on one they like.
This suggests that people are looking for specific benefits from their place of worship, perhaps to make the experience more meaningful.
Ways to Improve Spiritual Well-Being

Some simple ways to achieve better spiritual health or well-being include but not limited to;
Meditation
Mind-body disciplines –
Mind-body disciplines such as yoga or T’ai chi etc which requires focused breathing in coordination with controlled body movements.
Although most mainstream religious groups generally do not approve of these with the claim that the benefits touted by it is already in present in the traditional mainstream religion.Visualization
Finding ways to feel better about yourself
Helping others in need through volunteer work is one of the many ways to do that. If you cannot volunteer time, giving material goods or money can also help you feel better about your contribution to the society.Taking time to do things you enjoy can make your outlook on life more positive and improve your spiritual well-being.
Take up a new hobby; spend more time with friends and family.
Listen to music, exercise or do something that makes you happy.
Although most recreational activities do not seem to fall under the classic definition of spirituality, they however, can improve your spiritual well-being by taking your mind off stressful things in your life.
The spiritual aspect of health and well-being is gaining more and more following because of it many advantageous results and cannot be over emphasized.

We have emotional health, physical health, mental health, financial health, spiritual health, environmental health etc.
There's possibility to be financially healthy yet not physically or mentally healthy. And so on.
Thus, one must strive to attain some level of general well-being which is expected to cover some percentage of the afore mentioned.
