BEAT INDECISION AND YOU BEAT THE CLOCK

In life, the first thing that has to be looked squarely in the face is procrastination. Procrastination is the half-sister to indecision.

Let me tell you a short story.

A farmer once hired a man to sort his potatoes. The job was to place the the large potatoes in one pile, medium in another and the small in the third. The deal was sealed.

After some hours, the hired man decided to quit the job. He looked as if he had lost weight in that short time, and was perspiring and disheveled as if he'd been digging ditches.

The farmer asked if the work was too hard for him. The hired man's answer was, "No. But the decisions are killing me!"

I think that more time is wasted, more headache caused, and more opportunities missed by indecision than by any other time-consuming habits.

I'll assure you of this:
You are far better off making mistakes than not making decisions.

Because I think most procrastinations are due to the fear of making decision. You've got two course to take; you're not sure of which is the better one, so you put off the decision.

As my mother would advice, the thing to do is to take either one, but take it now.

QUICK DECISION MAKING IS A SKILL

To avoid procrastination as a result of decision making, experts suggest that the best idea is to take the first step in any direction. It is said that once you are involved or in motion, you travel in the momentum - you'll get something done.
