The decentralized exchange Bitshares allows you to trade not only with such high-level instruments as the crypto currency, but also with shares of companies.

Traditional exchanges, such as Nasdaq or NYSE, require you to go through the registration procedure, open accounts with brokers and pay commissions for trade. You get all the trading opportunities with the Bitshares Exchange without any restrictions.

Available as a purchase of shares, and the opening of short positions.
This opportunity exists due to the launch of smart assets that are derivatives for shares from the Nasdaq or NYSE Exchange. Each derivative is secured by a pledge in the BTS, and therefore at each moment of time is the same value as the share itself.
The only difference from the shares is the inability to receive dividends from the issuer, as in essence you own not the stock itself, but the derivative for the share.

Every 15 minutes for each smart asset, Feeds are published from the Nasdak and NYSE Exchanges, so the smart assets accurately reflect the price behavior as the underlying asset.

Since all smart assets are secured by the BTS, you can be completely sure of the safety of your investments for any length of time. Opening a short position, each trader gives a pledge of BTS available to him, in case of a loss of the value of the Security Asset, the trader receives a demand to add a security or margin call.

Trading derivatives for shares of Nasdaq and NYSE is a less risk instrument than the trade in crypto-currencies. You can create a much more diversified and reliable investment tool, turning your attention to derivatives.
