Das Beispiel El Salvador könnte sich nun auch auf andere Remittances-abhängige Länder ausweiten. Ganz vorne mit dabei: die parlamentarische monarchie Tonga. Der ehemalige tongaische Abgeordnete Lord Fusitu’a bestätigte auf Nachfrage eines Twitter-Nutzers, dass der Archipel plane, Bitcoin zur Staatswährung zu erheben. Den genauen Zeitpunkt der Einführung schätzte der Parlamentarier auf Oktober nächsten Jahres:
Schritt 2 – Gesetzliches Zahlungsmittel = Das Parlament öffnet im Juni für den Haushalt bis Juli, im August gibt es Besuche in den Wahlkreisen, im September folgt das Gesetzespaket der Regierung und dann geht es los. Also Oktober 2022. Vulkan-Mining soll danach folgen.

Ebenso wie El Salvador ist auch der Inselstaat stark abhängig von Überweisungen aus dem Ausland. Laut Daten der Weltbank trugen die Gelder im Jahr 2019 etwas über 37 Prozent zum Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) bei. Bisher sind Emigranten vor allem auf Transaktionsdienstleister wie MoneyGram oder Western Union angewiesen – bei teils exorbitanten Gebühren im zweistelligen Prozentbereich.
Schritt 1 – Ersetzen der Abhängigkeit von Fiat-BIP-Überweisungen durch Bitcoin auf Lightning, das bereits im Einsatz ist.

Personally, I do not believe that BTC is adopted by many countries, since it is being seen that this currency is very volatile, which makes the BTC not recommended to adopt it as a national currency since everything could fall apart overnight if suffered a downturn.
Using btc as a daily currency does not currently make sense. but remember.
if a family member from another country receives money after e.g. El Salvador or Tonga transfers fees of 10-20%. A transfer with Bitcoin almost doesn't cost anything via lightning. the exchange into the national currency costs only 1-2%
El Salvador's work was admirable. Hopefully Tonga will make bitcoin the national currency. It would be a good initiative. Such plans of economically prosperous countries will be more pleasing, if they have.
