When Life Keeps You Busy... That's a GOOD Thing, Right?

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago

I don't seem to have as much time to write as I used to... seems like I am always "too busy" doing other stuff that's demanding my attention.

Mrs. Denmarkguy and I are currently both busy working on our respective artwork/creative projects because we have a vendor booth at an arts and crafts show, this weekend.

That's just one of many things going on, at the moment.

I had a doctor's visit, yesterday. No, not because I am "ill;" this was merely a routine health check-up. My doctor looked worn and tired... she said that they still take a multitude of "Covid-related" calls, every day... and the clinic she's attached to is short staffed.

We actually discussed this issue of whether "being busy" is a good thing, these days. If you are busily "out and about" these days, you definitely expose yourself to a higher risk of getting ill.

I figure everyone will get Covid, at some point or another. My doctor didn't disagree, when I suggested this.

Covid-19 is — after all — a "coronavirus" which is a variation on what the "common cold" is. Not saying that to diminish the seriousness of Covid... just pointing out that we are dealing with something that (like the cold) mutates and changes constantly... and even after all these years, we have no effective antidote to keep people from getting a cold. Chances are —on the big scale of things — that we won't do a whole lot better with Covid.

Regardless, life has been keeping me busy lately. I noticed this, because I also noticed that it seems like there's often five days between my posts here... and I often find that it is 1:00am before I find a quiet moment to sit down and start typing.

All in all, I am looking forward to the art show this weekend... it will be our first "outside event" since December 2019! And I'm only a little apprehensive about the possibility of getting sick because we'll be at a somewhat crowded venue.

But we're going, for sure... and we need the money!

Thanks for reading, and have a great remainder of your week!

How about YOU? Do you like to keep really busy? Or do you prefer a more quiet life? Do you think it is still "very risk" to do anything that involves larger groups of people? Do leave a comment — share your experiences — be part of the conversation!

On day 1 of the pandemic they told us to stay home and isolate. One of the most important reasons why was because too many people sick at once would overwhelm healthcare systems. A lot of people didn't listen and the healthcare systems have been overwhelmed, which is why your dr is run down. Thankfully a lot of us did listen.

It will be over soon. Perhaps by the end of this year. The 'law of viruses' demands it.
