The Journey From "Here" to "There:" We Each Have Our Own Way!

in WORLD OF XPILARlast year

How do you achieve success?

It seems to be one of the more popular "buzz phrases" of our times, and there are thousands of books and hundreds of seminars claiming to have the answer for you!

But do they really?

The problem I have always had with such claims is that we don't even have consistent impressions of what success means! It's a thing that varies hugely, from one person to the next.

Accordingly, it strikes me as very unlikely that there would be a one-size-fits-all cookie-cutter recipe for success.

But beyond that, we all have our individual temperaments!

I have personally always been a very patient type of person; someone who's willing to slowly and methodically work towards a goal, one small step at a time.

I won't set any world records for speed or ingenuity, to be sure! I'm very unlikely to invent some brand new method of doing things. Most likely, I'll just do something that's already being done... tweak the system slightly to fit my temperament, and build something from there.

During my relatively brief stint in Korporate Amerika, I was often known as the one who could make "marginal" and "impossible" projects actually work, often through sheer diligence and stubbornness!

It's not an approach that works for very many people. In fact, some would argue that it doesn't "work," at all, because the successful outcome was achieved purely as a result of hard slogging work.

Seems fewer and fewer people see actually working at something as being a "success." Gimmicks and trickery have almost become more important... which saddens me.

Success is almost more like a "lottery effect" in which you have huge instant returns as a result of a stroke of genius... or pure luck.

Not really my style...

And that's really my point, here. We each have out own style... and we should be allowed to have our own styles, rather than being force-fed some standardized and "canned" version of how to get from Point A to Point B.

And that has frequently been my journey... one laid out according to my own ideas, not necessarily the "commonly accepted" way.

Heck, it's probably why I am involved in crypto!

Anyway... chart your own course! It doesn't really matter what *"they" say... it has to work for you!

Thanks for reading, and enjoy the rest of your week!

Your dandelion photo is a masterpiece. You brilliantly chose the light and angle for this object. You inspired me to do something like this.
Thank you for the inspiration.

Thank you!

They can be tricky to photograph, because they are — basically — 99% air, and if you're using a camera with autofocus it'll often think there's "nothing there" to focus on.

You're right. I somehow didn't think about it. Thanks for the tip.
