Thanks for the insights, as usual! It's a bit of a rollercoaster ride, as far as I am concerned... but I have always been more of a "buy-and-hold" type investor than an active trader.

Not holding i believe works better for traders with huge quantity of coins. Then they can make great gains from even tiny fluctuation. In general though, holding coins is ideal especially, if you understand the model behind the coin be solid and with great potential. These are the thoughts of a crypto-novice who is just watching. When you look at the model behind steem, it does look like a model that one can hold steem for!

The deflationary aspect of Steem the currency needs to always be accounted for. Holding it, as Steem is created is in fact deflationary. The tokens should be used or held in Steem Power, as I understand it, with the economics in place.

Steem Power pays you interest on that inherently deflationary currency along with the rewards the SP brings you.

This comment can form a whole subject in a post. Hopefully, you will get the word out! Many don't understand fully these aspects of steem.

Buy and Hold works for a lot of people in a lot of situations, for sure.

If you need some extra money, and are OK with the process or are not risk adverse -- trading can work out.
