Random Signs of Spring in a Sad World
The world weighs heavy, these days... for many reasons.
There's COVID-19, keeping many people "trapped" in their homes. Sure, it's for safety's sake... but if you're used to being out and about, it can become oppressive and depressing.
Now the term "Medical Marshall Law" is being used, here in the USA.
Daffodils
More or less related, the world economies are collapsing... Sure, the coronavirus plays its part, but the Arab-Russian oil price war is a major contributor. Now there's an oversupply of oil, in a world where people aren't going anywhere.
See the problem?
The robins have returned
Meanwhile, on a meta level, people are worried because they are losing their jobs to automation, and now many are losing their jobs and incomes because the world is shutting down to contain this infectious illness.
More and more, it seems like a smaller and smaller "über-class" controls everything, and an ever expanding underclass... are stuck in the dust.
If you've seen the movies Elysium and The Hunger Games you'll understand how we stand at the edge of dystopia.

What is there to be cheerful about?
Well, even if you are restricted in movement, if you live in a house, you can still go out in the yard and watch spring happen.
There are flowers; there are birds singing and making nests.
The days are getting longer; the sun brighter.
Make changes, where you can! Be kind to yourself, in ways that are still possible!
Even the lowly mustard plant is growing!
This post is illustrated with photos of my own surroundings. Taking them in, reminds me that NOT all is bleak and hopeless.
Thanks for reading, and if you want a little more hope, I invite you to come over and visit me here! Some of us DO believe we can create a better future!
Stay safe; stay healthy!

A new way of life is slowly emerging my friend.
I am fortunate to be able to get to the mountains without encountering anybody and I have always sought mother nature's warm embrace.
Now I think more people will start to take notice of the natural beauty that surrounds them.
You have some lovely photos here!
Blessings!
