Let's visit Eataly! Market Friday
If you can't get to Italy this Christmas, well, at least you can eat like an Italian. Which, having traveled around Italy, I can attest is some good eatin'! Eataly in Chicago, Illinois will have you proclaiming "Mangia! Mangia!" in no time ;)
Talk about a BIG Cheese! The kiddos were joking in this pic, "Hey, you gotta take her picture here, cuz she thinks she's a big cheese! A big cheese by the big cheese...get it!"
Cheese is such an exquisite food in every way, in my opinion. I recall childhood trips to Wisconsin with Grandparents, stopping in cheese shops along the way and eating my bounty of fresh cheese curds all the way back home to Illinois. It was glorious!!
This pic was for my Dad. He is a man who loves his pink salt, appreciates a good pepper mill and insists on grinding his own pepper...lots of it!
And, of course, Italian cookies. Where would the world be without Italian cookies? And fruit cake. Have you ever had an Italian fruit cake? It is called "panforte." Tread with caution. I have been known to eat a whole one by myself in the span of 24 hours.

Yes! Go to Italy!! I lived there and loved it! Mangia! The whole entire time! I have had the Italian Fruitcake. Now I just make my grandmothers. We used to have a summer house in the upper peninsula of Michigan and went through Wisconsin to get there.
Oh, the cheese! Glorious cheese! Oh, yes! Did I say I loved cheese? Yummy delicious!

My boyfriend and I were just talking about visiting Italy one day. We both have an interest in languages and so are trying to decide which one to try to learn next. Thank you for sharing... Photos are awesome.
