The average #Bitcoin transaction fee nears $7!

As you can see in the graph, the median fee which much better represents a 'normal' transaction is now '$3.96', also an all time high.

Looks like legacy Bitcoin is turning into Western Union. At this rate, legacy Bitcoin will most likely become more expense than WU and Moneygram!

The real long-term damage to legacy Bitcoin here is that all the potential uses cases that require low fees will go to other chains like Bitcoin Cash.

So high fee. In vip.bitcoin that we use, there is 4.30 USD. For me, that's high too... :(

Let them know that Steem transaction fees will always be $0...

OMG.. Transaction fee so high!

From one point of view sad news for small transactions, on the other hand, hey other crypto currencies now have a bigger chance for a shot. I think bitcoin will find itself in deep sh..t if it continues to take these big fees.

It already is in deep shit. We not have Bitcoin Cash as a result of the 1mb limit, which wasn't even in the original design. The 1mb limit was introduced as a temp measure to avoid spam transactions in the early days when the cost to perform a spam attack was negligible, which is not the case with today's prices.

@demotruk,
In most of network transaction fee is around 0.001 BTC. That means huge cost :/ But look at STEEM, 0$ transaction fee and quicker than BTC transaction speed as well.
Thanks for sharing such useful information!

Cheers~

fee so high , this issue must to be solved

so what was the use of that HF when they said the main of it was to reduce the fees :(

The hard fork is Bitcoin Cash. Fees are below a penny on that.

Really!

And maybe its time to find an alternative

is there an other hard fork next month??

Segwit2x is coming but I believe it's still expected around November 18th.
