Exercise is great for motivation. It's important to recognize that when it comes down to it, motivation is a chemical process in your brain and body, it doesn't appear out of nowhere like magic. You can manage it by making sure there are more endorphins flowing in your body, and you do that by exercising and eating well.

I guess thats probably the problem, Ive been eating crap and not moving much. Gotta take out those gym clothes I bought recently...

+1 about exercise. Also, remember there are different types of motivation. Intrinsic and Extrinsic. A monetary reward is extrinsic motivation, but nothing is as powerful as intrinsic motivation; the passion that comes from within. Maintaining it isn't easy, but exercise and socializing are useful for nurturing it in my experience. And yeah, as much as I preach about this stuff, I have periods of low motivation too. Sometimes you just need a break, just don't let that break fester.
