It's not a nice thing to say but it really is night and day living in North/West vs. South Dublin (except North East and all that way up to Malahide, etc.). If you have the money it's worth living in a much nicer part of the city, although I'm currently in West Dublin not just because of the price but because just finding a place to rent takes forever...
It seems like if I want a great AirBnB I should probably head on over to Venice since they look like they have good AirBnB's everywhere.
It seems like every city has a few black sprinkled in there as well haha

As mentioned in the Reddit thread, there is a strong bias towards places with more reviews. Venice as a tourist city likely benefits from that.
