I read this article below this morning.

unprecedented situation in Syria

The war with so called ISIS proxy fighters was won last year. headlines here keep in mind that was last October/November.

It is always favourable to Israel that this war never ends, due to finding oil in the stolen Golan heights here

With the first headline it highlights that Russian forces attacked American forces and it's proxies, to gain some oil fields as payback for being in Syria, every war has a cost after all. The Americans have taken over oil fields in Iraq & Syria here

So we can read into this situation, that it is very unlikely to end any time soon, oil fields seem to be everyone's desires not peace. Except for Turkey, they seem more intent on getting rid of any Kurds that have taken over a lot of small villages near the border of Syria - Turkey here

Russia has only a handful of military bases outside of Russia unlike the 100's of American bases all around the globe, and it's main 1 is in Syria. And has been for a long time. So is unlikely to back out any time soon.

Here are others according to source wikipedia
Current bases
Country
Armenia Russian 102nd Military Base in Gyumri and the Russian 3624th Airbase in Erebuni Airport near Yerevan.
Belarus The Hantsavichy Radar Station,[5][6] the Vileyka naval communication centre near Vileyka
Georgia Following the Russo-Georgian War in 2008, Russia has maintained a large presence in the disputed regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The Russian 4th Military Base is located in South Ossetia and hosts around 3,500 personnel. The Russian 7th Military Base is located in Abkhazia and hosts approximately 4,500 personnel.
Kazakhstan The Balkhash Radar Station near Lake Balkhash, the Sary Shagan anti-ballistic missile testing range, and the Baikonur Cosmodrome space launch facility.
Kyrgyzstan Kant Air Base, the 338th naval communication centre, a torpedo testing range and a seismographic station
Moldova Russia maintains a sizeable task force in the partially recognised Transnistria region for peacekeeping purposes and to guard a decommissioned arms depot.
Syria Russian naval facility in Tartus, Khmeimim Air Base
Tajikistan Russian 201st Military Base
Vietnam The Russian Navy maintains naval resupply facilities at Cam Ranh Base.

Below is the many USA bases. Add to that the illegally placed one's in Syria, as they were never invited to Syria.

So this is the thing right here, how do you get Israel to sit at a table with sworn enemy (by choice) Iran, when a large portion of successful fighters are Iranian controlled fighters in Syria Hezbollah add in Turkey talking to both of them plus the Kurds. Then get Russia and the USA to the same table and expect any deal while all these players clearly hold massive grudges against at least 1 other member of any potential agreement maker?. Then you would have to invite all the other proxy fighters of which there are many including Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Al-nusra and on and on it goes. Nobody ever seems to want to invite the Syrian government except Turkey and Russia, yet it also is key to any potential resolution.

I fear until the last oil well pumps it's last drop. War in the middle east will never stop, especially given the delicate balance in Israel from it's Zionist land grabbing apartheid regime, seeking to destabilize any secular - successful country near by.
The USA is the worlds largest consumer of oil. hence the many wars in oil rich nations, if Syria's main trade was peanuts or oranges, would this be happening at all? not likely.

Sad times I fear and a war with no end.

Lots of food for thought. I may be wrong, but it seems to me that those in control are the wrong people. I also favour Syria surviving as a nation. I do not forget that they are the only muslim nation that has not persecuted their Christians - and those of other religions.

Indeed arthur, and I have some Syrian friends, plus a friend from England who lives there, he reports from the ground every day, tough times, for now.
The new-and-improved "Middle East Sand Box Toy Set" is the latest and greatest toy for big boys who can afford it. Run REAL armies in desert! Have them shoot, bomb, betray and kill each other in a chaotic play environment with rapidly shifting alliances while keeping your hands perfectly clean with no consequences whatsoever. It's hours of bloodthirsty fun for the whole family.

While the cost of this toy set is not cheap (Retail MSRP is almost a hundred billion), there is already a waiting list to get it. It's definitely the hottest game set of the year.
