Lazy Sunday - come walk with us.

We set off at 12 noon, just the three of us and daisy the dog...............

It is quite cool at 2c or 36f. And as you can see my ladies are sporting pompoms so today they are the pompom ladies. The hill below was the scene for loads of fun only a few days ago with children lining up to slide back down on sleds. Almost no snow left for the fun though.

We can walk this route for miles without seeing another living soul most days. Today was no exception. It is almost silent down here in these fields, with only the sound of running water from the river, oh and the odd birds tweet tweet.

We got about 2 miles along the path and then it started to snow very lightly. Nothing that will stick though.

Horrible little ticks are a problem here in the summer, I sat down by the river once for 2 minutes and had one on my neck within that 2 minutes "yuck".

Everything was going well until daisy the dog decided she needed a new "scent" and rolled in a big dogs poop. I have zero idea why she does that. So we had to head back to wash the stinking dog that was now white and brown.

This is the cycle path below, it goes for around 20 miles or more, great in the spring and summer to cycle away from car and lorry fumes.

Sunday is the day I get to make a big roast dinner for three, today's delicacy will be 1 kilo of roast beef in red wine with Yorkshire puddings, and vegetables. I am having a snack of Polish piza right now, some sort of dumplings filled with meat. It is quite nice to my surprise.

Have a fantastic day, and let me know what you are up to today in the comments below.

pretty nice winter landscape, regards for you and the pompom ladies!

Good morning @deliberator. It's 48F here. First clear day in almost a week so it is laundry day. Our inside animals are fed and my husband is feeding the outside animals now. Then ham and egg breakfast for us before I go hang the clothes on the line and put another load in the washer. Today is a wonderful day.

Sounds perfect. Have a great week.

Hi @deliberator. It's 27C here, 3.30pm. Although it's heading towards autumn it feels like midsummer. Typical February. You live in a beautiful place, lovely walks. My morning was spent hosing down the inside of my garage and sweeping out the water ... dreary indeed. I'm about to make potato salad and roast chicken ... enjoy your dinner.

27c sounds lovely to me, are you in Australia? We normally have roast chicken today, I just fancied beef for a change. Have a fantastic afternoon.

South Africa, east coast. My husband's favourite, roast beef, mine roast chicken!
