I was going to put £250,000.00 into steem and this account, what is the point?
Why should I put my money in here? I have seen what has been going on for the last 2 weeks, if I put £250,000.00 in here, like I was asked to, what is the point, when people run around flagging people down to minus whatever.
Some of the people being flagged were new last month, why on earth would you do that to new members?
Is it not like a bully playground with all these bots about, why on earth would I put a 1/4 of a million into a playground?
I had so much to give, and wanted to invest, I am not sure you are ready.
Such a shame.
I will stick around for a week or two, to see what happens, and to see if things change.
People running around upvoting posts with 0% then up voting their own comments, seems rather selfish does it not? this I have experienced in person, it gives very little hope to the people incoming that are expected to maintain the growth you expect.

Steemit is a fairly big place and very few get flagged, I would tell you just stay away from the Haejin situation follow copyright laws and you should be just fine - the future is indeed very bright here with the current price of steem and the soon release of SMT financial rewards especially with that much steem power should be pretty significant in the long run.
Thank you for the advice, I was told the same today on chat, I love it here, and was hoping the current war was not a reflection of the place as a whole, and was told this is not the norm, more the exception.
Well if you were going to do that, you can still do that. If not for the possible value rise of Steem in the future, but investing money can give you power on the platform.
Most activity on Steemit is upvoting, most flags are directed towards plagiarizers and assholes, and most people flagging for dumber reasons are people with very low power.
Steemit is mostly a very positive platform, bringing good sides for the people. With power, you can affect more on what Steemit is like, help great people to do good and if you want, flag things you want to stand up against.
However the great thing on Steemit, most people who disagree with each other can talk instead of flagging. Doesn't happen on every site. Sometimes it's because of the fear of flagwars though.. but fear can help us be good.

I would not recommend investing, I would also not recommend leaving, The platform can be of use and there is a possibility it can be of benefit to you, Tho do not ask me how yet. And I need divels advocates like you to counter my arguments where possible.
