The Temptation of a Teacher
This picture talks about a meeting we had some six years ago during our last days at Akrokerri College of Education. We had just finished our teaching practice and was getting ready to write our last two papers before we graduate.
This picture reminds me a lot about some of the conduct of some of my colleagues when we went out to teach and to put into practice what we had learnt back in school. Colleagues took a new attitude when we went out and some also showed their true colors. Those who didn't know anything about alcoholism engaged in it by allowing their friends to initiate then. Womanising was the other of the day for some of them.
This was the final picture we took before everyone departed and I can still feel the emotion we had that day. Still talking about the first picture. Some parents in the communities we went to teach will intentionally ask their female wards to come close to you and if you are not able to withstand the wild girls temptation and you sleep with them then, that becomes your end. This is what brought about the first picture.
One of our colleagues feel victim of this act. He sleep with a teenager JHS girl and her parents reported the matter to the police and this said friend who was popularly know as Lil Win was taken by the police and was locked up. His life was close to coming to an end. No certificate, charged with defilement and the shame of it.
The parents of this said girl wanted my colleagues to pay ¢5000 cedis then in 2014 so they can settle the case at home. It took the intervention of the girl who was on the Ghana voters register. For the love of a young girl for his teacher. This girl took the voters ID card to the police station and my friend was release there after. So when we got to school we called him before the elders of the school to interrogation the matter.
It's been six years now but the situation still rings in my ears. These days girls are wild and parents know the nature of a teacher job has taken advantage so if you don't take care you will be trapped like Lil Win and might not have the chance to save yourself.

Such an interesting read, saved by the hair, well not sure if my expression is right perhaps you been a teacher may teach me the right thing, either way, temptations can be overwhelming for anyone even the teacher but he ought to show more restrained next time. The title of your post remind me of Tyler Perry's Diary of a Mad Black Woman, whiles i am glad he did not loss his livelihood to a temptation though i reckon he desist from such act as it is goes against everything he stands for as a teacher. Great writeup thanks for sharing
