Fundraising projects!

Write about a school trip you organized for the children at your school. If it was successful, why was it successful and what did you do to make sure it was successful? How did you raise the funds to go on this trip? Name some ideas to raise funds for the school.

I remember that, as if it were today, the first excursion was more than 18 years ago. This is planned by the 3rd grade teachers "A, B, C", to meet the objectives proposed by the project: "TO KNOW THE NATURE, WE VALUE MORE LIFE"

It was my first exit from the institution, with my 3rd grade students only 8 years old; and with other sections It is a pleasant experience to see the small faces of the children so happy when they climbed the mountains, to do some of the activities, such as:

• Take, pictures of animals and plants that had never been seen in the city.
• Perform the collection of dry leaves and stones to work later in the classroom, among others.

The excursion was made to the "Posada and Camp Milk and Honey", with the purpose of offering students a direct contact with nature..

It was a success because the students could reinforce the learning of the contents programmed in the area of Natural Sciences and facilitate the acquisition of skills, contributing to environmental education and promoting an awareness of protection and sustainable use of the natural environment.

There was no problem with the funds, since it was a private institution and it assumed the transportation expenses; Snacks and meals were assigned to a group of contributing parents.

Why was it a success?

I think it was a success because the goal of the project was achieved, we had the approval of the institution and the representatives who supported us with the supplies that were needed and another group that accompanied us to the excursion.

The planning

• I started planning two months in advance.
• A letter was sent by the teachers in charge of the excursion, to the coordination of the institution for the approval of the permit for this activity.
• Meeting with the parents and representatives of the students involved, to discuss the needs of the excursion.
  -Shirts with different colors per section: A = Yellow, B = Blue, C = Green. Stamped with the name of the project.
