Don't Write Anyone Off
While it's imperative you select your friends with a great care, it's also important you never write anyone off.
What do I mean by "writing someone off"?
Let me tell you a story, because stories seem to explain well great messages than we can imagine.

Benzy as a person, has never really loved schooling. Well, he managed to earn a "pass" result from college-- I mean, he had always crawled with a few others at the back of his class in school, as far as academics is concerned, that his classmates (especially Joy) had always treated him with disdain back in their college days-- with a preconception that he would hardly amount to something.
In a banking hall, 8 years after graduation from college, Benzy stumbled into Joy, who was working as one of the tellers in the bank. It was an intriguing moment for both of them.
Benzy after college has really changed a lot; he had worked on himself through what many of us call self-development or self-education, as the case maybe. And most interesting news to Joy that day, was that Benzy is now a CEO of a fast-growing company that operated both locally and internationally, whereas she was just a banker!
Well, this story may not perfectly appeal to your sense of reality, but I believe it sure passes the message...
Don't write anyone off!
Yes, we live in a world where everyone wants to associate with success, and people are quick to make conclusions-- about nearly everything, even with respect to what one's life or future will become.
Success is indeed a journey; one we all must travel, no matter the route we choose to take.
I believe there's greatness in every individual. Thus, don't underestimate anyone if not tomorrow, you may end up competing for the attention or favour of someone you undervalued yesterday. Life can be enough, you know.
