to help with the gray over your thumbnail...just remove the parenthesis ( ) from your http tag ...hope this helps!

Ah.... I went and looked at the code, and I worked out because my photographs are numbered and there is an extra set of parenthesis. Gotcha! Thanks very much for pointing that out. I see the problem.
