Hey everyone, today i am going to talk about the bueaty of the state , West Bengal.

West Bengal has the sacred hoogly river, the incredible eastern Himalayas , bay of Bengal in its southern region, the diverse sundarbans and the blossoming tea gardens and diverse wild life.Bengal has been home to great social reformers like Raja Ram Mohan Roy and Vidyasagar and the great saint Ram Krishna Param Hans and Nobel Laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore.

Incredible festivals of West Bengal:-

Durga Puja is a major festival in the Indian state of West Bengal, celebrating Maa Durga's victory over Mahishasura. Let me tell you the whole story Mahishasura was a king whose head is of buffalo. He was the true worshipper of lord bhramha after his several years of worshipping and meditation lord bhramha grant him the wish, Mahishasura demanded that he shouldn't be killed by any man or animal on earth . Bhramha granted him the wish .

After that he attacked on devlok and started torturing everyone then all devtas approached to lord vishnu then along with lord vishnu they went to the god of destroyers Shiv then Maa Parvati wife of god shiv took the form of Maa Durga and killed Mahishasura, that why this festival is celebrated .

The entire state comes alive with vibrant energy specially in Kolkata a special form of dance performed during durga pooja , "dhunuchi naaach" where womens holding dhunuchi ,a special type of earthenware incense burner in hand and while dancing on the beat of drum and music they balance the dhunuchi in their hands . It symbolizes the gratitude to maa durga .

Bengali Cuisine:

Now as we all know, Bengal is most famous for its mouthwatering sweets .Bengali cuisine is a culinary delight renowned for its rich flavors and diverse array of dishes like aaloo potol posto,shukto, luchi,chholar dal, lau ghonto accompanied by delectable sweets such as Rasgulla, Sandesh, and Mishti Doi, patishapta , malpua , rasmalai, payesh,langcha and many more. Each dish is a witness to the region's culinary heritage, reflecting a harmonious blend of spices and ingredients.

Harmony in Music:

Coming to Music, Music is one of the things which is admired in the Bengal and they have basically with two main genres – Rabindra Sangeet and Nazrul Geeti.Both are mostly based on celebrating themes of freedom, love, and humanity

Craftsmanship at Kumortuli:

Kumortuli which was earlier called as coomartolly , is a unique potter's quarter in the northern part of Kolkata. The place is famous for its incredible sculptures of Indian god and Goddess made of clay.Most of these sculptures are of Maa Durga who is seen riding a lion and slaying the demon Mahishasura.

Bengali New Year, known as Poila Boishakh, shubho noborsho which means happy new year, celebrated during the arrival of spring and new beginnings. Bengali people celebrates their New Year in mid april with full energy and enjoying and singing Rabindranath tagore poems and songs . People come together to enjoy the spirit of renewal, with hope, joy.

Cultural Renaissance through Literature and Art:

Bengal is one of Indian state which has very fine artist over there . Some of the art include terracotta art, designs made on clay which can be still seen even now , bankura horse and elephants are some examples of terracotta art. Patachitra painting is one of the true cultural heritage of bengal patachitra includes chal chitra , referred to durga chala means background of durga maa sculpture and durga pot which is a pot that has chitra of durga in middle. This is worshipped during durga pooja.

Now let's talk about the handicrafts of Bengal, clay art is a common handicraft of Bengal generally dolls toys are made by hand using clay. Kantha stitch is one the popular hand embroidery of shantiniketan.
Wooden art and bamboo craft is the part of not only bengal but of the whole eastern region of India .
