The Diary Game; Touring [30/08/2024]
Morning Activities
I heard my name in my dreams, which jolted me awake from my sleep. As promised, she hovered around me and made sure she woke me up to accompany her to Ediene Abak in Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State at 7:10 a.m. she said, and I quoted "if I allow you to sleep you will sleep till tomorrow". I lazily dragged myself up and got refreshed for the journey. The route from Uyo to Ediene Abak was very familiar as we usually pay a visit to this place at least once a month, but great changes occurred with respect to the transport fares, as the drivers lamented about the hike in fuel prices.
On arriving, the farmland was in good condition with the plants doing extremely well. The farm was nicknamed Jesus' farm because it had various plants such as cassava, turmeric oranges, pineapple, Gnetum Africanum (Afang), groundnuts, jackfruit, Lasianthera africana (Editan), pear, pawpaw etc. We also harvested pawpaw and oranges for consumption.
We arrived home at about 10:18 a.m. I had a breakfast of potato with stew and headed out to the market.
Afternoon Activities
I visited the Akpanandem market to shop for food items. As usual, the market was very busy with people buying and selling goods and services.
The shopping bag did not portray the amount spent and this was very disheartening as the prices of things were still skyrocketing. However, every item on the list was bought before returning home.
Evening Activities
I stepped out to conduct some home lessons. It was a beautiful experience as the learners did well to get involved due to the rewards of balloons that was anticipated. This made my work easier and faster. The last lesson session ended at about 5:30 p.m. After that, I went home, I had my dinner and saw a Korean movie series on my phone titled "The secret romantic guest house". It is a very interesting and humorous movie where the rightful heir is deposed, and his return was anticipated as a threat to the mischief-makers and as a Savior to the subjects trampled upon.
However, I have taken out time to tell you how my day was spent, and I hope to sleep well after now.
