I never thought love would come catch me one day
Out of the blue, you snatched my heart while you're holding a box of Ferrero Rocher
Never did I know that it would be you who'll catch my breath away
Destiny really did mesmerize me with such a huge cliche

My mind is still fixed with how and when our story started
I still can reminisce how you gave my heart that tremendous heartbeat
That clear scene when you uttered your feelings were so unsorted
That ecstatic lovely night was one of the moment that I'll surely never forget

I did all the flapping away from you and what I feel for you
But it seems running didn't work as what's stated in my draft
Didn't get the chance to hide all the flies bursting out like a cockatoo
Because I was like a crashed pilotless aircraft

Reconsidered lots of thoughts and other people's feelings
But it was you who taught me to give myself the break I need
It was a guilty feeling as I know I hurt someone's beatings
Still, you show it to me that loving you feels like a home indeed

During our college nursing clinical duty days with you
I can recall how you make me laugh at every joke you throw
Just can't stop my heart not to fall in love with you every single morning dew
Because you picked it up my parked heart by giving me that unexpected tow

They said that every genuine and splendid gift is from Him
That's why you were delivered excellently straight to my porch
You are the kind of gift full of humor, intelligence, love, and charm
You have your own flaws but all I see is perfection, bright like a torch

Doubted you before and asked if all of these were real like a deal
Got scared gettin' my heart broken and thought of what if I'm gonna lose you after
Still, we faithfully give our trust to the main author of this love story, together with His will
From what we heartily asked from Him, we then get back one incredible answer

Courting stage ended as our story turns into a four years roller coaster journey
I can't totally say that there are things that did not change
Nevertheless, I'm so amazed how you manage your wife's flare-up days
I think your patience is one of your superpowers that automatically extend in full range

Though we're undeniably miles apart even from the start
We're quite strongly fighting this thousand miles distance between us
So always remember you are never far from my heart
And in no time you don't need to take long trips just to be with us

Even lots of days passed and you're not around for many seasons
My heart is still pouring with so much love for a thousand reasons
You sacrificed lots of things just to bring home the bacon
And you treat your wife every day more than the service of a beauty salon

And in this special heart's feast day celebration
I don't pray to Saint Valentine that you, my husband, will give me another box of Ferrero Rocher
Not because our baby is suffering from tonsillitis infection
But I pray that one morning I'll get to wake up by your side on a lovely day

So through this gift poem appreciation that I have made for you
I am hoping it will bring much joy more than a surprised Valentine treat
Because with every word I've used on this, are purely genuine and true
And it's much tastier than any dinner date steak meat
