First, I want to tell you that the tapestry I ordered for my office arrived a day earlier than they anticipated. It looks even better in person. I have it laying on our kitchen table to get the few wrinkles it had out. :D
I nearly ordered the bigger size but I am glad I didn't, this size will be perfect for the wall I am hanging it on. Figuring out how to hang it is our next step though. We looked at different options this weekend and I think I like the curtain rod with clamps the best. Hubby suggested clear thumbtacks but I don't want to put a bunch of holes in the fabric.
I'm happy I decided to order from Society6. I found them via Amazon and went to their site directly, which is how I found this design.

It took two coats of one coat Kilz to cover the green on the wall in what will be my office. Three of our kids liked the lime color of green it use to be at one point so we already knew it would be hard to cover.

It's a little hard to see the new color on the wall because we went with a light lavender. It's actually called Fragrant Lilac and its by Valspar. I'm happy with the choice though. I let my daughter pick it out for me. Actually, she brought me some samples with the various colors I told her I was thinking of and I picked the color from the ones she liked. I love that she had a hand in it. :D

This area of the floor still needs to be fixed. We installed the peel and stick type floor ten years ago and this is the only damaged area so I am pretty happy with that.
I'm not sure when I will be moving into the new office because we have a few other things to figure out yet. However, I am happy with its progress!! :D
Otherwise, I disconnected a bit from Social Media this weekend. I got some cleaning done while Hubby painted and I binge watched the Frequency (TV series) on Netflix. It's too bad they cancelled it after only one season. I liked it. Hubby got some binge watching of TV time in as well.
It was suppose to get into the 50's this weekend but it never got above freezing. Sigh... We had planned to go out and snap some photo's but it's okay. If we had, the office would not be as far done as it is now. Maybe it will warm up enough by next weekend to get outside.

Looks like you guy's have got your work cut out for you, for some time? I wish you luck and godspeed with the work.
I think most of the hard stuff is done now but there is still plenty left to do.

Thanks!
What a cool tapestry!
Thanks, I knew it was the one as soon as I seen it.
Great choice of wall paint color Ms. Deb. It compliments the dark lavender color of the tapestry. ;)
Thanks!
I agree....curtain rod...very pretty tapestry - it's a lot bigger than I imagined. It's going to look amazing. I really like the color of the paint you chose as well :)
Thank you! :D
That looks like a neat canvas. Glad you took time out. We all need to do that now and again!
Thanks! Yeah, its important to recharge every now and then.
And I'm off to do it now - a quick trip to the store even counts too! LOL! :-)
Yeah, that is all I take some days too. lol
Oh, I hope you go with the curtain rod or framing! It looks like such a nice piece! That room is really taking shape! Someday soon!
Unplugging is essential to life. We all need to be part of the real world, even if to watch our favorite tv show.
I think we're going with a curtain rod. I may end up with a few of these over time and it would be nice to be able to change them out easily.
yeah definitely go with a curtain rod or framing it could also work:)
Thanks!
I started to read you just recently. Can I ask you: how many children do you have?
I do not know much English, I use an online translator.
He sometimes translates very strangely.
I have a son and a daughter. My husband has two sons. So we have four children between us. They are all in their twenties now.
Hey, I didn't know there was such a thing as peel and stick floor. That is interesting. If that is still around I could actually use that in an area in my home. Thanks.
We got it at Lowes, it should still be around. :) To be honest, one of my step sons is non verbal and autistic. He got that part of the floor wet on several occasions and that is why it came up. Otherwise they have lived up to normal wear and tear in our house.
