The Farm - Our Thanksgiving Celebration
If you read my 'The Farm' blog then you will be happy to know that we had the most delightful Thanksgiving/Christmas celebration yesterday.
There was no shortage of food or dessert. We might have over indulged... maybe. ;) I do not feel badly though because I know many people across America were doing the same.
Despite the Parkinson’s and Louie Body disease, my ex-father in law had a pretty good day. Maybe it was because this gathering is such a familiar occurrence to him. We were able to get a lot of great photographs but this one is my favorite of him and my children.
I can not leave my ex-mother in law out. I love this one of her and my kids too. I also got some encouraging news. She is reconsidering moving into town. I am sure the decision is a hard one though. It would be natural to go back and forth on what she wants to do. We will support what ever she decides in the end.
I have had an outstanding relationship with my ex-sister in law over the years. I was glad to get this fun selfie of us. Although I have to credit her for the picture because she snapped it.
Honestly, the day could not have been more perfect. We just enjoyed good company and good food. I was also able to get some awesome photographs from around the farm.
I forgot to tell you in 'The Farm' that this building is called the 'Her Shed'. Grain bins use to be there but the area now hosts the shed and the lovely little sitting area. The shed holds all of my ex-mother in laws gardening stuff as well as provides a green house for a few plants to last through out the winter.
I also ran across this beauty sitting at the edge of the field. There is no telling how many years it has been sitting there but it was worth a picture for sure. I am nearly positive its a John-Deer, because my ex-father in law would not allow any other piece of farm equipment onto his property.
At the end of our beautiful celebration I was able to do some thing I can not do from my home in the city. Take a photograph of this stunning sunset. I wish you could have seen it in person with me because it was gorgeous.

A very memorable Thanksgiving surrounded by loving family. What ever your ex-mother-in-law decides, it will be a tough decision.
It really was a memorable day. I agree, its hard to be in her shoes right now. She will have difficulties either way she goes right now.
Just loved the farm and the shed.What a beautiful place.So sad that you have to leave it.

I always hate leaving the farm. Years ago when my kids were little, I used to go stay there for a week at a time. I used to love waking up early enough to watch the sun come up on the deck.
