"Cream," Oil on canvas, original

This piece was one in a series of five begun in 2012 when my work shifted from resin poured on acrylic to oils. I began painting with oils but always had a love hate relationship with them and every time I completed a series I would toss the remaining tubes and brushes, linseed and turp and swear I would never return. Like the heroin addict, I always did. I still do. We all have our crutches and I guess in retrospect it's better than sitting in a bar in Boise singing 80's songs from a broken down jukebox.
