“It’s the economy, stupid?”
“It’s the economy, stupid” – said a campaign strategist of Bill Clinton’s successful 1992 presidential campaign. (Source.) People were allegedly voting in great part for Clinton because the US economy was in recession, and they wanted changes. In other cases, often happens that governments have to go in case of depressions (recessions) and can stay if the economy is functioning at a good level.
There aren’t big changes after Europe’s Parliament vote, excepted in some countries. The ruling centrist parties are weaker but weren’t completely overthrown. Europe’s economy was in relatively good shape in the last years, although, the growth is slow.
What is important in elections? The economy? Or something else?

Or more likely it's the stupid economy.
The rich gets richer, and the poor gets poorer.
There should not be rich nor poor people in the financial sense.
There should be equality.
Everyone should have everything they need.
There should not be finance nor economy either.
Or at least not in the current form.
Money is stupid. Or at least the distribution of the money.
Money is only preventing the majority of the people from enjoying their earthly life.
Money is only ruining a lot of people's lives, but making rich a very small percentage of the entire population..
I don't vote for anything in the Earthly politics, because the money (and the politicians) are and will be the same, no matter what.
Life could be so much better on Earth.
Everyone could enjoy it, but nowadays many people are starving and suffering, while a selected few millionaires/billionaires can do (or at least buy) almost anything, but many of them are still not satisfied and happy with their lives mainly because of their greedyness.
All other systems, mostly communists, failed. Capitalism may produce inequality, may have errors, but it's the best until today. Most people are living much better today than some decades ago.

In Clinton's campaign it was obviously the economic.
Today in Yurop its about globalisation and more specifically climate
