1. Box breathing.

Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, repeat. It helps to calm your nerves and relieve stress. The Navy SEALs are using this in their physical training.

2. Daily journaling.

Keep a simple journal every day to track down lessons you learned, inspiration or gratefulness you experienced, and meaning events that had happened. I track what I ate too.

3. Nonsense dance.

We all know how to dance if we remove the bias of what dance should be like. We all love to dance if we, for a moment, stop caring too much about what others think about us.

4. Ivy Lee to-do list.

List six things you need to get done tomorrow with priority. The first will be the most important and the sixth will be the least. Do them according to order the next day. The simplicity and focus this to-do list style provide will quadruple your productivity.

5. Quick nap.

Take a quick 10 to 20 minutes nap in the afternoon. You don’t need to learn how to take a nap, but you need to learn how to listen to your body and take a rest when you need to.

6. Meditation.

Quick 5 to 10 minutes session to do nothing and think of nothing. It’s not as easy as you imagine.

7. Cold shower.

I used to do cold shower when I was a kid because we can’t afford a water heater in our house. But then after we manage to get one, I quickly dump this insane torture. However, I’m back to cold shower again. Many top performers and athletes do this, it speeds up muscle recovery and improves cognitive function. It's also a great way to develop mental toughness The ice bath is the next level.

8. Laugh out loud.

Loosen up and laugh out loud. It doesn’t just make your life better, it changes others’ mood too.

9. Resting squat.

This is one that will take you some time to practice. Resting squat is also known as Asian squat. Google it and learn how to do it for 5 minutes every day. It helps to regulate your blood flow and promote better posture and movement.

10. Give credits.

People work for money but live for acknowledgment. Give credit to where it due. You lose nothing but the other guy or gal gains a ton. Actually, you gain a ton at the same time.

I used to daily journal all the time. Eventually I just forgot about it though and decided to stop journalling. Thanks for this post!

Let me know what you find and learn if you ever get back to daily journaling.
