Incredible Plasma Dance/Coronal Cavity

Saturn gets another solar flare. Poor little Casini better watch out. However, the sunspot is fairly wide, so it didn't have much of a chance when it got around to the Earth Facing side.

The Sun try to snap off a plasma stream, but it didn't leave the orbs pull and came back down to arch out almost another fake UFO sucking power form the Sun moment. The coronal cavity looks great, enjoy. It's not some galactic monster coming for the Earth.

Solar wind is increasing to go with the big northern coronal giving it's last hello to the Earth facing side. We now have geomagnetic storm conditions today, keep an eye on electronics and health or tiny glitches.

A couple of other interesting scientific tidbits are added, including one of scientist revising their estimate of 10% active centers for jellyfish galaxies to 80% when actually studied in more detail. The science is never settled.

A coronal hole is a large region in the corona which is less dense and is cooler than its surrounds. Such holes may appear at any time of the solar cycle but they are most common during the declining phase of the cycle. Coronal holes occur when the Sun's magnetic field is open to interplanetary space. ~ http://www.sws.bom.gov.au/Educational/2/1/5

Sunspots are temporary phenomena on the Sun's photosphere that appear as spots darker than the surrounding areas. They are regions of reduced surface temperature caused by concentrations of magnetic field flux that inhibit convection. Sunspots usually appear in pairs of opposite magnetic polarity. Their number varies according to the approximately 11-year solar cycle. ~ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunspot

The solar wind is a stream of charged particles released from the upper atmosphere of the Sun. This plasma consists of mostly electrons, protons and alpha particles with thermal energies between 1.5 and 10 keV. Embedded within the solar-wind plasma is the interplanetary magnetic field. ~ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_wind

Let the positive energy sing!

More Power to the Minnows!!

It seems that the new group of sunspots that initially did not look dangerous is mutating to very dangerous in a matter of hours.
Is that group preparing fireworks to celebrate the eclipse? Either way it has managed to get the attention of all those who work to maintain satellite telecommunications services.

Interesting. So, sunspots that look the least likely to defeat the Earth Facing Quiet, might be the ones that do it.

Could be. At the moment it will make us more outstanding than normal.
