SUNSET

Forget the willows and the old dead trees, even the salty ponds and yes even me.

Please remember us together -- It felt so right, even when we sought to fight.

How can you be lost to me, you were never really mine. Is it my fault if I am left behind.

You used to creep around like you were trying to steal my heart -- but when I reacted, you fell apart.

Now we stand here watching us drift away. Both of us knowing there will never be another day.
