Abandoned WIPs | Redeveloping and adopting the old

Hello, Folks.

Does anyone else have an instant of energy to explore some ideas and then drops them as suddenly as when they came?

Not that I've abandoned these or anything like that. It's just that I'm trying to figure out how to bring them into my new work which has enjoyed a level of focus that's really rare for me, despite the very low returns on it so far.

Some of these would be wonderful for the style and genre I've been exploring of late, that being classical realism in the vein of the old masters (Caravaggio etc, you name them).

If you've been following my art journey you've will have noticed a style and genre change from the beginning of the year to a more still and ponderous subject matter and that I've shaved off a lot of the spectacle I used to employ in my pieces that gave them a very ametuerish vibe. I'd like to adopt my old ideas to this new vision of thoughtful moments. I'll dress old wine in new skin... literally.
