Painting done from Shilpkar - Amazing Indian Art
Today I am going to share a unique art of making a painting from Shilpakar Clay.
What is Shilpkar ?
Shilpkar is an artform that only requires your creativity to create a beautiful wall piece.
Shilpakar is white M seal or Epoxy compound used for arts and craft and readily available in the market. In this demonstration I am trying a simple shilpakar work.
What material required to make the painting?
Canvas Panel
3D Outliners of Different Colors
Acrylic Colors
Shilpkar Clay
Paint Brushes
Talc-Powder for smoothness of shilpkar
How to make painting with shilpkar ?
Step - 1 - Paint the canvas panel with any color of your choice and I choose blue for it.
Step - 2 - Cut two equal pieces from Hobby Ideas Shilpkar Resin Base and Hardener. Mix them to form an even dough. Care should be taken to avoid mixing the Resin Base and Hardener in unequal proportions, as it will result in improper curing and hardening. Read the instructions mentioned on the pack properly before kneading the dough.
Step - 3 - It is a sticky clay, use powder so that it would not stick to your hands.
Step - 4 - Make your desired shape from shilpkar and then let it dry for 15 minutes.
Step - 5 - After that color the shilpkar and the leftover base of canvas with your desired colors.
Step - 6 - This is the last step in which you can use 3D outliner to enhance your painting so that it would give you a 3D effect.
Note :- Use the shilpkar mixture within 10 minutes of its formation otherwise it will get dry and hard.
This is great! I study Eastern culture myself. I wrote a article about Kali, the Hindu goddess. Please check it out and upvote: https://steemit.com/hindu/@astrotonic/i-am-kali-i-am-tefnut
