Rice with chicken // Step by step

I join in the call #Stay at home with the purpose of contributing to the well-being of all Venezuelans, complying with the measures to prevent this virus from spreading. In these days I have taken it to reflect, meditate, read, watch movies, cook, do different tasks at home. We must be responsible and aware of our environment, complying with this quarantine by staying at home in these difficult times taking advantage and enjoying our home and family.



Today to pamper the family I prepared this simple and delicious recipe called arroz con pollo, very nutritious and substantial a typical Venezuelan recipe, every time I make this dish it brings back many memories, since it was one of my son's favorite dishes he prepared it , so when I make it it smells like a lot of love. And at this moment I share them with you so that you can enjoy it as a family. This rice is delicious and is prepared in different ways, you can accompany it with fried slices.


Ingredients:

  • ½ kilo of Chicken
  • 2 cups of rice
    *1 onion
  • 1 paprika
  • 1 carrot
  • 8 Pods
  • Salt
  • Turmeric


Procedure:

  • Chop up the chicken



  • Cook the chopped chicken, place the onion cut into small cubes and then the paprika and add the salt.

  • Cover and let it sweat.



  • Then place the carrot in small cubes and chopped pods, cover and cook



  • Add the turmeric and two cups of boiled water

  • When the carrot is a little soft add the rice and mix.



  • Then add the chicken broth, cover.

  • Let it cook for 15 or 20 minutes, until the rice is just right. Then let it rest.



  • Ready to taste this delicious recipe
